Propane Handling Course Objectives
The CAN/CSA-B149.2 Propane Storage and Handling Code and provincial regulations require that a person filling propane cylinders must be properly trained in those functions. This Propane Handling Training course is designed for practicing propane field personnel who wish to obtain the information necessary to meet the requirements of the CAN/CSA-B149.2:

Course Description
Subjects of the program include:- Propane Storage and Handling Code
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulation
- WHMIS
- Provincial regulations with respect to filling propane cylinders.
This course includes both a multiple choice examination and a practical test. Students are required to demonstrate in the practical examination that they can properly fill a propane cylinder. A passing grade of 75% is required in both the written and practical examinations to qualify the student for a certificate from the Canadian Propane Training Association.
After completing the training program and successfully passing the examination for the P.T.I. 100-08 Filling Propane Cylinders, it is the trainee’s responsibility to ensure that propane cylinders are filled in accordance with the CAN/CSA-B149.2 Propane Storage and Handling Code requirements.
** The Record of Training from this course is valid only for a period of 36 months after you have completed the training or retraining.
