AZ Tractor Trailer Program

PROGRAM OUTLINE:
This program includes all mandatory objectives set forth in the Ministry of Transportation’s Commercial Truck Driver Training Standard (Class A), released July 2016, plus additional objectives that exceeds the minimum standard. Our AZ Truck Driving Program includes 1 week of virtual class room training and 5 weeks of practical training. We provide our students with more practical training hours than most schools.
The Truck Training Schools Association of Ontario (TTSAO) Airbrake Course is included with this program, consisting of 12 Hr of training and then Practical testing all done on site.

- Employment in the Commercial Vehicle Industry
- Vehicle Components & Systems
- Basic Driving Techniques
- Professional Driving Habits
- Tractor-Trailer Off-Road Tasks and Manoeuvres
- Documents, Paperwork and Regulatory Requirements
- Vehicle Inspection Activities
- Hours of Service Compliance
- Cargo Securement
- Handling Emergencies
- Real World Scenarios
- Fuel Efficiency
- Recruiting/Employment Preparation
- Air Brake
- Transportation Review
We pride ourselves on the success of our Students and each of our Students will be signed up for the Ontario Apprenticeship Program. We have a 98% Employment rate with our students.
This AZ Tractor Trailer program includes both classroom and practical training. The hands-on training takes place in the yard and on the road using a tractor-trailer, while under the instruction of a qualified trainer.
Did you know that being a Tractor-Trailer Driver is a registered trade? Each student will be signed up for the Ontario Apprenticeship Program!
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have minimum Grade 10 English (or equivalent)
- Must hold a valid Ontario Class G license or Higher
- MTO Medical that meets the vision, hearing and medical requirements for a class A licence,
- Drivers Abstract.
