Hiring a Heavy Equipment Instructor for Manitoulin / Sudbury

NATT is looking for a competent individual with a wide range of knowledge of Heavy Equipment, including Excavators, Front End Loaders and Dozers, to train and instruct students in the Manitoulin / Sudbury area.

Salary: $34–$35 an hour

Job type: Fixed term contract

Qualifications

Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)

Requirements:

– Experience operating various pieces of equipment and prove their skills (5 years preferred)
– A good understanding and knowledge of the mining industry
– Diverse communication skills and ability to work respectfully with others
– Experience working in cross-cultural environments
– Leadership skills
– Computer skills
– Class G license with drivers abstract
– Must be fully vaccinated

Duties and Responsibilities:

– Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to: curriculum training, safe equipment operation, equipment and site maintenance, industry and legislative safety standards
– Operate equipment for demonstration of tasks to students
– Conduct student evaluations (marking and grading) and complete comprehensive student progress reporting
– Identify and communicate any safety concerns through training, site inspections and assessments
– Consistently demonstrate a professional code of conduct
