Duration: 250 Hours over 6 Weeks

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

This program includes all mandatory objectives set forth in the Ministry of Transportation’s Commercial Truck Driver Training Standard (Class A), released July 2016, plus additional objectives that exceeds the minimum standard. Subjects of the program include:

This program includes both classroom and practical training. The hands-on training takes place in the yard and on the road using a tractor-trailer, while under the instruction of a qualified trainer.  Students will also engage in various classroom activities to help prepare for a career as a professional driver.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:           Must be 18 years of age or older, Must have minimum Grade 10 English (or TTSAO Equivalency), Must hold a Valid Ontario full Class G Licence, MTO Medical that meets the vision, hearing and medical requirements for a class A licence, Drivers Abstract

The Truck Training Schools Association of Ontario (TTSAO) Airbrake Course is included with this program, consisting of 12 Hr of training and then Practical testing all done on site.
